Christmas in July Sale!

Country Mischief and Country Mischief Plus are having a Christmas in July Sale. Our shop, Robins in the Trundle Bed, located in Country Mischief Plus, will be part of the celebration and the sale!! Weekend Finds...

The weather this weekend was perfect and we had such fun searching the countryside for treasures. Here are a few of our finds! The darling early doll is a homemade with cloth body covered in stockings, composition hands, a sewn on face an old cotton dress. She made friends with another recent find, our wonderful, much loved Teddy!







We also found this lovely vintage Venus statue, antique bells, and early lace bonnet.

Felicitous Finds

We had a wonderful weekend brocanting and uncovered many treasures! Here are a few of our weekend finds! They sing out "Robins in the Trundle Bed." The dresses are two of our earliest pieces. The women's muslin dress dates to the 1830's and the child's calico dress dates to the Civil War era. Notice the birdcage which dates to the late 1800's!

Sale-ing and Brocanting

There is nothing more exciting than a weekend in June spent brocanting. We had fun taking photographs of our finds in the garden and on our porch before they make their way into our shop or on to Ebay. We found a pair of exquisite antique French spelter statues; a divine French 1890's gown; a charming folk art pointer dog who seemed quite at home under the azalea bush pointing the way to the garden and many other whimsical one-of-a-kinds! Bridal Veil

The bridal veil in our yard was a long ago gift from a dear friend who every spring gave gifts of her beautiful bridal veil to all her neighbors. Each May we remember her when we look in the neighborhood and see this delicious springtime bush that cascades with the glory of a June bride's veil.
